Evaluation of Clinical Outcomes of Arm Sling versus Figure of ‘8’ Bandage for Pediatric Clavicle Fractures
Background: Paediatric clavicle fracture is a very common injury presented to an orthopaedist all over the world. Previously most of the paediatric clavicle fractures have been managed conservatively. Recently there is a surge of surgical management for these injuries as recommended in literature. Materials and Methods: We have conducted a prospective clinical study to compare two modes of cons...
متن کاملAmphiphilic copolymers for liquid bandage application studies.
This research pertains to a new class of liquid bandage polymers which are promising for assisting advanced wound healing by serving as substrates to promote cell viability and proliferation. Amphiphilic nitrogen-containing polymer poly (3-methacryloyloxypropyltris (trimethylsiloxy)silane-co-N-isopropylacrylamide) (poly (TRIS-co-NIPAM)) was synthesized and investigated with further comparison t...
متن کاملEarly radiographic and clinical outcomes of minimally displaced proximal fifth metatarsal fractures: cast vs functional bandage.
Background The purpose of this non-randomized retrospective study was to investigate outcomes of minimally displaced, proximal 5MTB fractures, treated by a below-knee walking cast or a functional elasticated bandage with a support of a flat hard-soled shoe. Methods A consecutive patient series was divided into two groups: the cast group (CG) and the functional group (FG). The subjects were ra...
